A Capulet New Orleans wedding is full of charm, and Emily and Maddie’s fall wedding was no exception. From a rooftop ceremony to a gourmet meal to hours on the dance floor, this Capulet wedding was a memorable reflection of this loving couple.
One of the best features of Capulet is its rooftop. With its views of an old church and the Bywater neighborhood, it is perfectly positioned for a sunset ceremony. A backdrop or floral arrangement can make the ceremony spot feel special and unique to you.
That golden hour light is so stunning that you might want to linger after the ceremony is over. A bar is also conveniently located at the back of the rooftop, so you can enjoy the sunset right through cocktail hour.
Because Capulet New Orleans was a warehouse, its dining room has a towering ceiling and a mezzanine. Florals go a long way to making the modern interior feel festive. The tables can be set in long columns and, with the addition of some candles, create a warm community ambiance.
The open lay out at Capulet allows for a seated dinner and dance floor in one space. At the weddings I’ve photographed, this has definitely encouraged guests to let loose and enjoy themselves after a delicious meal.
A Capulet New Orleans wedding is a foodie’s dream. Known locally as a lunch spot and meeting space, Capulet serves elevated but approachable fare. They also make shrubs in house and can whip up a fantastic signature cocktail for your wedding.
Located in the Bywater neighborhood, Capulet New Orleans is less than a mile from the French Quarter. The Bywater neighborhood is full of charming local businesses, including some of the city’s best nightlife. Whether you’re planning a wedding for New Orleans locals or a destination wedding, Capulet is easy to find.
As healthcare workers on the front lines of the pandemic, Emily and Maddie have been taking care of the New Orleans community. Their wedding was an opportunity for their community of friends and family to celebrate them, and the event really reflected their values as a couple.
They put thought into every detail, including the incredible ceremony backdrop that Emily built herself! The pops of color looked absolutely stunning in the golden light of the sunset. In a moment of pure New Orleans magic, some church bells rang and a trumpet sounded on the street below during the ceremony.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night was when Maddie’s person of honor sent a recording of her speech since she was unable to attend. The speech, like all the others that night, reflected what caring and fun people Maddie and Emily are.
A Capulet New Orleans wedding wouldn’t be complete without a signature cocktail. The hibiscus tequila cocktail and perfect playlist kept guests on the floor until the very last minute of the reception.
